We are in need of Greeters for the 11:00 AM worship service. Sign-up sheets are located in the narthex, near the flower chart.

The Prayer and Care Class sends birthday cards to church members 80 years old and up. If you fall into that age range and have not been  receiving a card, please let the church office know your birth month.

Together We Can.. Love Like Jesus

June 14-16 , 2013 at  Newberry College

Open to current 7th– 12th grades

Join us for music, laughter, fellowship, and learn to love like Jesus! We can    also have two youth be delegates to    represent Redeemer.    

Registration Deadline  is May 20.

WOMEN OF THE ELCA                           Convention Project

 Redeemer WELCA has selected the "Children's Garden" as its project for the SC WELCA Convention.  The following items are needed:

·     Diapers (sizes 2-5)

·     Diaper wipes

·     Paper towels

·     Mild laundry detergent

·     Non-latex gloves (surgical:  medium & large)

·     Clorox

·     Antibacterial liquid hand soap

·     Antibacterial dishwashing liquid

·     Ziploc bags (quart/gallon)

·     Children's toothpaste

·     Batteries (no specific size designated)

·     Gift cards to bookstores, Educational Wonderland, grocery stores, Office Depot, Target, Wal-Mart, etc.

·     Monetary donations are needed for:  fee payments, physical checkups, eye exams, digital cameras for classrooms, vacuum cleaner for classrooms

These items may be placed in the container(s) provided in the narthex.  Sunday, June 2, is the deadline for bringing these donations.

Thank you for your support of this very special project.

   The Women of the ELCA will also provide Sunday morning refreshments during May.

On Friday, May 31, the Ramblers will travel to Chesnee to Strawberry Hill USA to have lunch, tour the farm, and buy fresh produce! Fresh ice-cream and milkshakes can be available after the tour.

Cost: $5.00 for the tractor tour, $5:00 for gas. $ is needed for lunch and produce purchases.

The Junior Choir and the Children's Choir will be taking a summer break. The last Junior Choir rehearsal for this season is Wednesday, May 29 at 7:00pm. The last Children's choir rehearsal will be Sunday, June 2 at 9:30am. Hopefully both choirs will sing during the 11:00am worship service on June 2.

Rehearsals will resume in September.

Sunday May 19th: Graduate Recognition and Confirmation Day

Confirmation will occur during 11am worship. Join us for a covered dish luncheon following worship to honor both of our Confirmands and graduates.

Newberry High School and Newberry Academy Baccalaureate will be held at 3pm at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. The baccalaureate is sponsored by the Downtown Ministerial Association. A Reception in the Family Life Center will follow the service.

Deposit: $30.00 to be paid by June 9, 2013.

Supper Club will travel to Dempsey's on Thursday, May 23. We will leave church at 5:30pm. Call Helen Fellers or the church by Monday, May 20 if you plan to go.

Morning Bible Study will begin on Thursday, April 25th 10:30am- 11:30am in the library. We will be studying Daniel. Don't forget your bibles!
